US Government Extends ICANN’s Mandate to Manage IANA for Six Months - kennedypricandere1942

A U.S. government agency has nonliteral ICANN's authorization to manage appointment of IP addresses and management of best-level domains for another six months, because none of the bidders for the role met its requirements.

The National Telecommunications and Selective information Administration issued a postulation finish year for proposals to cope the functions of the Internet Assigned Numbers Potency (IANA), only on Sat information technology cancelled the request because none of the bids met its requirements.

The NTIA plans to reprint the request for proposals (RFP) at a date yet to be determined, and meanwhile has extended ICANN's mandatory to operate the IANA functions until Sept. 30. The new contract was up for renewal in March.
